Why aluminium costs more
Aluminium systems use different profiles, fabrication processes and hardware from standard uPVC. The main attraction is usually a slimmer frame, contemporary appearance and larger glazed areas rather than the lowest purchase price.
Special RAL finishes and triple glazing increase cost further, while large projects may gain some installation efficiency.
